Artist Statement
For as long as I can remember, I possess a curiosity about the world around me, and as a young child, I was always drawn to the language of design through shapes and color. This curiosity was nourished, encouraged, and validated by my mother, a seasoned and accomplished international painter (I’m pictured here, age 5, at an art show).
Painting is both a natural and inspirational expression from my heart because I yearn to interpret God’s creation in unique and powerful ways. Although I am formally trained and earned a BFA at ArtCenter College of Design, it’s this spiritual drive that fuels me the most.
Art is most interesting to me when it provokes a personal, subjective observation. A successful piece not only possesses technical elements but it also inspires dialogue — within me as I interpret the unveiling of a new masterpiece, others as the mystery reveals itself, or a conversation with God.
As you can tell, I’m so into art!
I would love to personally consult, connect, and collaborate with you to deliver the perfect piece for your space.
I do commissioned projects and really enjoy working with collectors, interior designers, and businesses.
